Float glass
Float glass is a high quality ultra clear glass, obtained by means of a manufacturing process, called „floating” resulting thus the two perfectly flat and parallel surfaces of the glass sheet. For the double insulating glass unit, made of clear float glass, it’s utilised glass with thicknesses ranging between 3 and 19 mm, corresponding to given necessities.
Due to its high visible light transmittance, this type of glass is much asked for, in house building and greenhouses, the so-called wintergardens and in all applications, where a huge light ammount, is an essential architectural demand. The double thermal insulating glass made of clear float glass is the most usual in Romania, as a result of its optimal cost- thermal confort ratio.
