Double insulating glass

(about the sealing qualityi)

Is executed out of two or more than two sheets of glass, separated by an aluminium spacer, containing molecular sieve (a dessicant to absorb water vapours between the glass panes) and in-between may be introduced an inert gas filler, followed by the sealing process, with hot – melt, silicone, polyurethan or polysulphide. The type and thickness of the employed glass panes, of the aluminium spacer bars, besides the inert gas, are crucial in determining the properties of the double insulating glass unit.
